Beal Genealogy

BEAL - THE ANCIENT NAME - By Frank Lee Beals This short booklet was written in 1929 by a (then) popular author named Frank Lee BEALS.  Typically he wrote historical fiction.  This work, however, is a strictly non-fiction attempt to trace the BEAL family name back to ancient times. Although it may be difficult to determine the accuracy of all the conclusions that BEALS comes to in this booklet, it is still a fascinating read nonetheless for those with BEAL family roots and a good addition to anyone’s genealogical reference library.

SS# Request Form for BEAL, Cleveland Elbert - b. 22 Sep 1886** in Bivins, Cass Co., Texas to James Hillard BEAL and Francis Susan CHANDLER ; SS# 456-09-9803; d. 18 Jan 1970 in Morris Co., Texas; Residence - Hughes Springs, Cass Co., Texas; Card issued in Bivins, Cass Co., Texas in 1936 (**Note Social Security Death Index incorrectly reports date of birth as 22 Sep 1884) - Obtained from I Dream of Genealogy (idreamof.com)

Colonial Families of the United States - By Fielder M. Beall - Originally published in 1928 and now in the public domain.  This is a book about the early Beal family settlers in the New England colonies, including the surnames Bell, Beal, Bale, Beale and Beall and their origins.  This is a rather large (9 Megabyte) file, so it may take a couple of minutes to download, because of its size.  There are a number of people SELLING electronic copies of this book on CD on E-bay, which I think is so wrong.  Anyway, here it is... for free!  Enjoy!
